Solutions Architect
Responsibilities include:
Providing technical and strategic recommendations on implementing the client's Modernization strategyEstablishing an Application Portfolio Management program and prioritize modernization effortsDevelop and maintain dashboards/trackers using client approved tools to track all modernization effortsIdentify the current business needs and requirements working with the Enterprise Architecture team through stakeholder interviewsPlan, design, and oversee deployment of complex enterprise-wide or large-scale information architectures including computer hardware and software, operating systems, middleware, communications hardware and software, and security componentsPerforms research and evaluation in the execution of proof of concept (POC), and recommendation of technologies and solutions to better align the client's IT initiatives with industry best practices, to ensure compliance with agency and federal government requirements, and support IT development and modernization initiatives.
Developing and implementing, maintaining project plans to meet project objectives.
Leading and/or participating in phase, milestone, and final project reviews.
Interface with team members, stakeholders and management to anticipate and manage changes to projects, such as but not limited to technical requirements,business requirements, and schedules.
Determine when additional resources are needed.
Identify or gather information regarding possible solutions that may create additional, different or unique project objectives or results.
Preparing and giving presentations or briefings on all aspects of the projectPreparing and assisting in the IT Governance process in developing and presenting new needs and enhancements in support of development activities to obtain the required approvals and fundingQualifiactions - Must Have or need not apply:

Experience supporting business case analysis and identification of alternative solutions and resulting business impactsExperience architecting, engineering, and implementing Cloud based enterprise IT solutions from cradle to grave and integration solution to on-prem applicationsKnowledge of current Cloud technologies, architectures, best practices, cloud native tools, emerging technologies, and trends8
years of application engineering with recent application modernization experience in Federal sector, 5
years of experience as a technical specialist in Customer-facing roles, 3
years of experience with FISMA and NIST requirementsExperience in Java and.
NetExperience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)Experience in Visio and Google Drawings to document systems diagramsPossess excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact with small and large groups of business stakeholders and leadershipPossess good organization, communication, collaboration, and writing skills.
