Solutions Architect
Responsibilities include:
Providing technical and strategic recommendations on implementing the client's Modernization strategy Establishing an Application Portfolio Management program and prioritize modernization efforts Develop and maintain dashboards/trackers using client approved tools to track all modernization efforts Identify the current business needs and requirements working with the Enterprise Architecture team through stakeholder interviews Plan, design, and oversee deployment of complex enterprise-wide or large-scale information architectures including computer hardware and software, operating systems, middleware, communications hardware and software, and security components Performs research and evaluation in the execution of proof of concept (POC), and recommendation of technologies and solutions to better align the client's IT initiatives with industry best practices, to ensure compliance with agency and federal government requirements, and support IT development and modernization initiatives.
Developing and implementing, maintaining project plans to meet project objectives.
Leading and/or participating in phase, milestone, and final project reviews.
Interface with team members, stakeholders and management to anticipate and manage changes to projects, such as but not limited to technical requirements,business requirements, and schedules.
Determine when additional resources are needed.
Identify or gather information regarding possible solutions that may create additional, different or unique project objectives or results.
Preparing and giving presentations or briefings on all aspects of the project Preparing and assisting in the IT Governance process in developing and presenting new needs and enhancements in support of development activities to obtain the required approvals and funding Qualifiactions - Must Have or need not apply:
Java and/or.
NET Microservices or serverless or containers DevOps, Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD) Cloud Experience (AWS or Azure) Qualifications - Minimum Experience in modernizing legacy applications to modern architectures such as microservices, serverless, containers, etc.
Experience in modernizing data architectures Experience in integrating multiple enterprise solution applications and legacy IT environments Experience in managing multiple projects, providing executive summaries, create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals Experience in establishing and managing key stakeholders, application vendors, senior leadership, and users.
Experience supporting business case analysis and identification of alternative solutions and resulting business impacts Experience architecting, engineering, and implementing Cloud based enterprise IT solutions from cradle to grave and integration solution to on-prem applications Knowledge of current Cloud technologies, architectures, best practices, cloud native tools, emerging technologies, and trends 8
years of application engineering with recent application modernization experience in Federal sector, 5
years of experience as a technical specialist in Customer-facing roles, 3
years of experience with FISMA and NIST requirements Experience in Java and.
Net Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) Experience in Visio and Google Drawings to document systems diagrams Possess excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact with small and large groups of business stakeholders and leadership Possess good organization, communication, collaboration, and writing skills.
Be detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication Possess strong leadership skills that inspire team confidence and respect while motivating team members in a creative and effective manner.
Have excellent analytical, problem solving, interpersonal communication and project management skills Possess strong client consulting skills Good relationship building and interpersonal skills are essential as this candidate will be interfacing numerous internal and external stakeholders.
