Deputy Director

As the Deputy Director, Office of Regulatory Policy duties include:
Focusing on maintaining effective and efficient office operations by overseeing project assignments, managing resources, supervising Office staff, meeting quality and timeliness standards for office products and services, and instituting effective controls on Office expenses and operations. Supporting the Director by managing the process for the development, approval, publication, and interpretive analysis of all regulations promulgated by FCA. Overseeing activities related to processing regulatory or statuary prior approvals. including funding approvals and the System's investment activities . Managing the development of an Officewide strategic plan and provides analysis and recommendations to the Director that supports the FCA Board on strategic and operations issues. Representing the FCA at meetings and conferences within government and the FCS, or those interested in FCA/FCS practices, to discuss the Agency's policies, decisions, and views. You may qualify at the VH-43 band level if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the VH-41 (GS-15) band level in the Federal service that demonstrates your ability to all four parts of the following:
Experience leading financial institution regulations in all four of the following:
policy and regulation development, financial and economic analysis, risk control, or corporate and regulatory prior approvals; Experience presenting conclusions and guidance to parties within and external to FCA such as FCA institution's, boards and management; Experience providing support to FCA's enforcement responsibilities; Experience planning, distributing, coordinating, and monitoring work assignments of subordinate staff, coaching and developing staff, and evaluating performance. You may qualify at the VH-42 band level if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the VH-41 (GS-15) band level in the Federal service that demonstrates your ability to all three parts of the following:
Experience leading financial institution regulations in one of the following:
policy and regulation development, financial and economic analysis, risk control, or corporate and regulatory prior approvals; Experience presenting conclusions and guidance to parties within and external to FCA such as FCA institution's, boards and management; Experience planning, distributing, coordinating, and monitoring work assignments of subordinate staff, coaching and developing staff, and evaluating performance. You may qualify at the VH-41 band level if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the VH-40 (GS-14) band level in the Federal service that demonstrates your ability to all three parts of the following:
Experience leading financial institution regulations in one of the following:
policy and regulation development, financial and economic analysis, risk control, or corporate and regulatory prior approvals; Experience presenting conclusions and guidance to parties within and external to FCA such as FCA institution's, boards and management; Experience planning, distributing, coordinating, and monitoring work assignments of subordinate staff, coaching and developing staff, and evaluating performance. Failure to include experience in your resume that demonstrates experience for the band level's specialized experience statement(s) above will result in an ineligible rating. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must meet all qualification requirements and submit all required supporting documentation by the closing date of this announcement. Current and former Federal employees (including VEOA eligibles) must have served one-year (52 weeks) at the next lower grade in the Federal service to meet time-in-grade restrictions per 5 CFR 300, Subpart F, by the closing date of the announcement.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
