Intelligence Research Specialist

This position is located in the Intelligence Division, Office of National Security Intelligence, Intelligence Community Integration Section (NNI - CIA) in McLean, Virginia. Primary responsibilities of the incumbent include but are not limited to the following:
Assisting CIA officials in making determinations regarding the state of collection, analysis, and intelligence operations resource gaps Interpreting guidelines and issuing instructions on methods and procedures for the application and dissemination of products to DEA elements for action. Reviewing and interpreting policies, guidelines, methods and procedures associated with the evaluation and analysis of data classification, declassification, and protection of classified national sensitive information; Maintaining situational awareness of significant issues affecting national intelligence counternarcotic issues related to US homeland security; Providing Crime and Narcotics (C&N) analytic production strategies to ensure that major intelligence gaps and shortfalls are being examined either as a community or by individual analytics; Collaborating with DEA Liaison officers assigned within the IC focused on national intelligence counternarcotic issues related to the U.S. Homeland in order to improve the collective efforts of DEA and CIA. Representing DEA on site at the CIA as well as internal and external meetings and conferences on subjects of national intelligence as it relates to counternarcotic IC issues; May be required to testify during career as an Intelligence Research Specialist. GS-14:
Must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 Federal grade level performing such duties as providing direction and leadership to a multi-agency staff engaged in the collection, analysis, evaluation, production, and dissemination of drug law enforcement intelligence in support of drug law enforcement activities; and performing preliminary research, analysis and evaluation of raw intelligence data for segments of large research projects and studies. If selected, you must sign a mobility agreement that confirms your understanding and agreement to accept relocation to any location depending on the needs of the DEA and the Intelligence Program. This mandatory agreement remains in effect throughout your career as an Intelligence Research Specialist. The opportunity to transfer to other assignments as advertised is available to you. Successful completion of the mandatory Basic Intelligence Research Specialist Training Course. Successful completion of a one-year supervisory or managerial probationary period (unless already completed).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
