Facilities Manager
Supervise a multi-disciplinary maintenance staff through subordinate supervisors. Perform all the functions of a supervisor. Administer a safety program in the division. Plan, develop and execute a complex maintenance program. Formulation and execution of budgets. Experience with maintenance facility database systems such as Facility Maintenance Software System (FMSS). Develop complex project requests. Use skills in project oversight and management. Serve as an effective member of a Leadership Team. Communicate orally and in writing to a variety of audiences. Experience:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies needed to successfully perform the duties of this position. Examples of specialized experience include, but are not limited to the following:
prepares and manages asset condition assessments for a park, recreational area, or similar facility; utilizes a software system to record, manage and provide information including annual work planning, operations and maintenance cost data, deferred maintenance, detailed facility inventory, and condition data; monitoring a facility management program and documents asset information; assists in planning maintenance activities and preventative maintenance programs for a park, recreational area, or similar facility; and conducts surveillance activities over construction and maintenance operations performed by a variety of private contractors. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
