Responsible for recording incidents and providing support to the users. Provides a total customer support service as a single point of contact for all issues relating to IT and IS services for a particular customer.
Provides technical assistance to computer system users, including the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word-processing, electronic mail, and operating systems.
Maintains a service perspective including an understanding of relationships, dependencies and requirements of hardware and software components and the organizations that support them. Answers questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or from remote location.

Required Skills and Education
Considerable knowledge of operating systems, operating environments, and networks. Ability to anticipate impact on respective operating systems to include: UNIX, High Performance Computing Platforms, such as Sun Microsystems' F15000 or F6800, HP's Superdrome, or a large-scale Linux Beowulf Cluster. Experience with Zone under Solaris 10, ZFS under Solaris 10, and Service Management Facility (SMF) under Solaris 10. In depth knowledge of Solaris 9 & 10, Jumpstart, LDAP, ICSA certified, Familiarity with Microsoft Windows 2000 & 2003, Experience administering a Windows active directory network. Experience administering Windows Servers. Familiar with Roundtable and secure enclaves.
