Analyze and study complex system requirements. Design software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and domain analyses and manage their implementation. Translates detailed design into computer software. Implement COTS packages. Test, debug, and refine the computer software to produce the required product. Prepare required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation. Enhance software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency. Provide technical guidance in software engineering techniques and automated support tools. Provide technical direction to programmers to ensure program deadlines are met. IPS is seeking a Software Engineer to provide programming support to the Nontraditional Support Section in the development of Computer Based Training. Working closely as a member of a team producing web-based multimedia instructional courses, a successful candidate will work to prepare and develop/code the Flash based training modules and interactions designed by the teams Instructional Systems designers.
Required Skills and Education
Required education: High School
18 years of experience.
Strong Skill in Flash CS3/4, Photoshop CS3/4 ActionScript 2.0 and XML Quiz/Test development interface experience Experience creating and implementing bookmarking capabilities Experience developing navigational interfaces Section 508 experience. Experience creating and using, loading variables
Preferred Skills and Education
Preferred Skills:
This area is currently looking at making the conversion from ActionScript 2 to ActionScript 3, so a candidate with ActionScript 3 will be Highly Considered
