Key Role:
Participate in functional and architectural design support with focus on the development of application solutions that contribute to the satisfaction of critical business needs. Use COTS integration and custom development expertise to convert functional and technical requirements into business solutions. Create system design work products, including wireframes and prototypes, and level of effort and duration estimates for development activities. Implement new features in a robust and maintainable fashion and unit test server-side client-side Web application code. Proactively raise technical risks and suggest measures against them and suggest technical and functional improvements to add value to solutions. Work with other Booz Allen engineers, software architects, and quality assurance engineers to resolve development roadblocks. Contribute fully to our commitment to modern agile development and automated engineering techniques, bringing continuous delivery best practices to our clients.
Basic
Qualifications:
-1 years of experience with building Java software solutions
-Experience with J2EE development
-Experience with Unit Tests or Test Driven Development (TDD)
-Experience with use of common source control tools, including GIT or SVN
-Experience with debugging, profiling, and performance optimization
-Knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS)
-Knowledge of development processes, SCRUM, continuous delivery, and other agile methodologies
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree
Additional
Qualifications:
-Experience with service-oriented-architecture technologies using SOAP, REST, or JSON
-Experience with software development using Java, including Spring, JPA, Hibernate, JMS, JSON, or JUnit
-Experience with Linux, UNIX, or scripting
-Knowledge of Cloud or Big Data technologies, including NoSQL, Hadoop, or Accumulo
-Knowledge of DoD information assurance and security policies
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-BA or BS degree in CS, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field
