# Key Functions
Apply a variety of methods, models, and analytical/visualization techniques to system architectures to analyze cross-cutting aspects such as performance, interoperability, resiliency, robustness.
Apply common and innovative architecture and design patterns to address customer needs
Pursue research to advance the state of the practice by maturing reusable capabilities such as methodologies, algorithms, tools, and visualization techniques.
Instrument systems with sensors to collect data on operational performance.
Conduct engineering trade-off analysis and feasibility studies, and assess proof-of-concept implementations.
Assist government sponsors by applying rigorous analysis to their systems to identify the impact of potential business process or system enhancements, and optimize design and architecture choices.
Apply the best combination of analytical methods and tools (e.g., simulation, graph theory, statistics), to evaluate and improve system components and interfaces, validate architectures, and identify critical gaps in capabilities.
# Preferred Qualifications
Required:
MS in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, or Industrial Engineering
Five or more years of experience developing systems models and applying analysis techniques on assessments of Information Technology Systems
Experience and proficiency in the effective use of at least one system modeling, simulation or analysis tool such as ExtendSim, AnyLogic, MATLAB, and Mathematica.
Strong collaboration and communication skills to support inter-disciplinary efforts and effective packaging of results.
Eligible for DoD security clearance at the secret level.
Desired:
MS in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, or Industrial Engineering

Proficient in system instrumentation and data collection using tools such as OpenSTA, LoadRunner, SilkPerformer, Tivoli, BMC Performance Manager, Wireshark, etc
Familiarity with major IT architecture and design patterns (e.g. cloud, service-based architectures, peer-to-peer, message-based, etc)
Experience with broad collection of system modeling languages, notations, and tools such as SysML, UML, BPMN
Experience with workload analysis, statistical analysis, decision-support systems, and formal modeling.
Experience with network modeling and graphical analysis tools and techniques (e.g. Neo4J, Palantir)
DoD Top Secret security clearance.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
