Description:
This position is responsible for the management and overall performance of The Companys general administrative functions, with a focus of: real estate, risk management, government property management, facilities planning/maintenance, general administration, emergency preparation/response, security, and office services.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities: (Essential Job Functions)
Real Estate
Directs and oversees the real estate activities, including leasing, subleasing and site selection / location
Familiar with a variety of commercial real estate concepts, practices, and procedures
Interfaces with commercial real estate brokers regarding availability of office space in several markets
Provides top management with detailed analysis and planning input regarding acquisition, subleasing, and managing office space at both headquarters and satellite locations
Risk Management
Identifies and evaluates corporate property, casualty and financial risks and obtains insurance coverage for those risks
Maintains liaison with broker and manages day-to-day property, casualty and financial risks
Develops renewal strategies for all property/casualty and financial products insurance policies
Government Property Administration
Manages and administers the government property program
Maintains government property tracking database and records of all incoming and outgoing government property
Maintains liaison with cognizant government property administrators
Conducts annual inventory of government property holdings
Prepares and file reports to the government on property holdings
Facilities Planning, Maintenance & Emergency Preparedness
Oversees job functions and monitors /supervises the activities of the Facilities Manager including: planning, organizing, and directing the facilities planning & maintenance for The Company headquarters in McLean, Virginia, and for all satellite locations
Consults with and directs the efforts of Building Management, Building Engineers, maintenance staff, and external vendors for all facility maintenance matters e.g., renovation projects entailing HVAC, electrical, production floor arrangement, etc. , in order to ensure efficient operation, safety, and employee comfort
Develops polices and procedures for emergency situations, e.g., medical emergencies, emergency conditions
Provides top management with emergency planning input
Plans and directs, develops and oversees, company administrative policies, standards, practices, and service functions
Ensures the accuracy and consistent implementation of company policies throughout the organization
Responsible for the overall professional development, motivation, and performance management of the Administration staff
Oversees hiring and training and determines ongoing staffing needs within the department
Establishes staffing and tactical plans needed to meet functional and operations requirements for the department
Maintains proficiency with current business trends and industry-related emerging technologies
General Administration
Security
Oversees job functions and supervises the activities of the Security Office, which is responsible for: all aspects of DoD, DOE, Intelligence community and other industrial security programs and activities
Develops strategies for overall corporate security, including; Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF); personnel clearances; visit authorization letters; special access badges (other than corporate); and maintains all applicable corporate security policies, procedures, and documents
Conducts internal inquiries and coordinate with local authorities and insurance companies on matters of theft and physical security breach
Office Services
Oversees job functions and supervises the activities of Office Services, which is responsible for distributing, shipping & receiving mail; report and document reproduction; courier/messenger services; and office moves.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Minimum Qualifications
BS degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline required and 7
years progressive experience.
Comprehensive management skills including risk management, real estate, property management, facilities planning, industrial and building security, emergency preparedness, and property, casualty and financial products insurance
Reports project status and performance data as required to management and other stakeholders
Must be a self-starter with a meticulous eye for detail
Leads, motivates, and manages a team across multiple functional areas
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal and listening skills
Able to contribute to a professional work environment by demonstrating integrity, promoting teamwork, and fostering positive communication
Able to build and maintain professional relationships throughout the organization, as well as with clients and vendors

Able to obtain top secret security clearance, if required
Travel may be required, possibly including weekends
Desired Qualifications
Masters in Real Estate, MBA, or advanced degree in a related discipline preferred
Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Certified Project Manager (CPM), and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certificationsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
