The Corporate Controller will actively manage the accounting and reporting functions for ID.me, including payables, cost reporting, and cash management. The Corporate Controller will be an active member of the management team and will oversee the month end close process as well as the year end audit and ensure that the company is meeting its targets vs. budgeted forecasted numbers. The Corporate Controller position is accountable for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
As part of our team you'll:
Ensure all time and expense reports have been submitted by associates
Process payroll; includes salary changes, new associate set up, bonuses, commissions, paid-time off, and state allocations
Prepare expense reimbursements for the W-2s and 1099s
Bi-Monthly: prepare payroll allocation journal entries and enter into Quickbooks
Prepare monthly Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations
Prepare and enter monthly accruals
Verify and enter vendor bills in the Quickbooks system for payment. Prepare payments for signatures
Assist in monthly invoicing of clients
Assist in complianceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
