The candidate will be responsible for internal legal teams handling default and real estate owned legal mattes, including oversight of external law firms retained to provide default and REO legal services. Will develop and maintain subject matter expertise of legal issues impacting mortgage default servicing, advise businesses management, and interact with relevant third parties as the company's advocate. Have regular contact among peers within the firm and externally, including regulators and professional organizations. Provide advice to internal clients on the legal implications of business trends, issues, operating environment changes and firm or business unit strategy. Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company. Direct and control the activities of a broad functional area. Manage litigation, claims and disputes with respect to company's single-family loan and real estate owned portfolios. Manage staff of attorneys, legal analysts, legal administrative coordinators and additional contract staff. Manage litigation, disputes and claims affecting single-family mortgage loans and REO assets, including supervising the handling of these matters by junior attorneys. Delegate a wide variety of matters to attorneys and professional staff. Mentor, coach and guide attorneys and staff members. Respond to a broad assortment of client personnel seeking legal advice and counseling with respect to default mortgage servicing, foreclosures and related activities, REO disposition, vendor relations. Review and advise on federal, state and local legislation impacting default mortgage servicing, foreclosures and related activities.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
