PositionNetwork Manager LocationMcLean, Virginia (average of 10% travel time) SummaryWe are looking for a self-starting, innovative, strategic advisor and positive leader to fill our critical Network Manager role.
This role will require a person who is passionate about strategizing and implementing network solutions that are never one size fits all.
Technically, the primary role of the Network Manager is to implement and support all LAN/WAN, network, perimeter security, and telecommunications solutions across fixed regional locations and project sites throughout the United States.
Leads the network team in designing and implementing network, security, and telecommunications solutions.
Responsible for all activities related to the technical infrastructure (i.

, core switches, wiring, power, server room, networking closets), Cloud Networking (Azure, AWS, SAP, etc.
), Videoconferencing, and A/V network design and installation.
Support includes the day-to-day (including rotational after-hour) activity of resolving network and A/V issues regarding outages, errors, and production problems.
Collaborates closely with external vendors, end users, and IT to ensure that strategic business requirements are met.
Responsibilities Planning, engineering, and monitoring all network-related systems to ensure 99.
9% system availability across the organization Work as part of the IT team to provide ownership of all network management and monitoring functions Support IT and business-led projects and other activities Document solutions/blueprints/diagrams for network-related designs and/or issues Install hardware or software and monitor system performance and availability Configure and implement intrusion detection systems and firewalls Maintain firewalls, switches, access points, and virtual private networks Assist with identifying, monitoring, and defining the requirements of the overall security of the network Investigate intrusion and hacking incidents, collecting incident responses, periodically scan the network, and perform forensic investigations Use industry-standard analysis criteria to test the security level of the network Develop tracking documents to note system vulnerabilities Report the security analysis and monitoring findings Assist with the development and implementation of network standards, including project connectivity standards and proper network segmentation Support and maintain project site networks, including circuit connectivity, segmentation, VLANS, management of firewalls, connected devices, & VoIP phone systems Manage dedicated internet circuit inventory to include planning, orders, and carrier management Perform regular performance reviews of individual team members, providing constructive feedback, and developing career progression Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience 7-9 years of network administration experience with Meraki and Cisco, including Cisco Phone Systems 5-7 years of firewall administration experience and familiarity with perimeter network security Certification such as CCNP, CCIE, CompTIA Network
TCP/IP networking in a mixed UNIX and PC environment Wide and local area network hardware knowledge Requires experience working with many and varied third-party vendors Requires continued knowledge and learning of existing and new technologies and tools Preferred QualificationsExperience with Polycom videoconference equipment and other A/V Recommended Skills Amazon Web Services Application Firewall Blueprinting Cisco Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Cisco Certified Network Professional Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
