Active Top Secret SCI with Polygraph (US Citizen) Position Overview:
Join a dynamic team providing Cyber Security Project engineering, custom application development, database administration, and operations and maintenance (O&M) for a system in support of the full system lifecycle.
As a Cyber Security Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and reliability of the Sponsor's system.
This position requires investigating and analyzing virus/malware alerts and incidents, monitoring and responding to security events, providing technical cyber security guidance, conducting tier-3 support, and designing and integrating new security products.
You will collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure network defense capabilities are current and securely configured.

This job requires an existing Top Secret SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Investigate virus, malware alerts, and incidents to determine their root cause, entry point, and potential damage, and report the findings promptly to the Sponsor.
Analyze various data sources, including Internet, Sponsor Community reporting, security events, firewall logs, forensic hard-drive images, etc.
, to identify malware, unauthorized activity, or other cyber security concerns, and report them immediately to the Sponsor.
Monitor, document, and respond to centrally collected virus alerts and promptly notify the Sponsor.
Participate in project review meetings, providing technical cyber security guidance to ensure the implementation of secure practices.
Provide tier-3 support for infrastructure, addressing complex technical issues and troubleshooting.
Design, test, and integrate new security products as directed by the Global Threat Management (GTM) team.
Ensure all network defense capabilities are up to date, patched, and securely configured, keeping management informed of their status.
Experience Needed:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret SCI clearance with Polygraph.
Experience in developing and conducting software compatibility tests in diverse environments.
Ability to convert customer or product requirements into comprehensive systems solutions, considering technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Proficiency in preparing documentation, including program-level, user-level, and security documentation.
Knowledge of developing security procedures to protect databases from unauthorized usage.
Other skills and demonstrated knowledge that are highly desired but not mandatory to perform the work include:
Experience in analyzing customer requirements and providing technical expertise on cloud cluster computing techniques and technologies.
Ability to design software tools and subsystems to support software reuse, domain analyses, and their implementation.
Collaborative approach, working effectively with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and other stakeholders to gather information on project limitations, capabilities, and performance requirements Recommended Skills Cad Code Reuse Computer Security Databases Firewalls (Computer Science) Infrastructure Management Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
