Cvent is seeking an In-House Employment Counsel to join our Legal Department at our corporate headquarters located in our Tysons Corner, VA.
The ideal candidate will be a team player, with a collaborative attitude who can also work autonomously.
Key to this role will be to get out ahead of potential issues, assess and manage employment law risk, and offer practical, creative solutions to our cross-functional business partners.
Must be willing to tackle tasks outside your area of expertise and be able to adjust to a rapidly evolving business landscape.
The role is based in our headquarters in Tysons, Virginia.
In This Role, You Will:

Provide day-to-day strategic advice and employment law counsel on a broad range of employment issues primarily in the U.
S.
, but also internationally, considering global and regional needs Guide and advise on the development and implementation of employment policies and practices to ensure best practices and compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including the following:
hiring practices performance management & terminations employee relations internal investigations work accommodations wage and hour compliance and compensation and benefits Conduct training for human resources professionals and management Provide legal guidelines and support regarding the companys contingent workforce and agency workers Strategically manage any employment litigation matters and pre-litigation employment disputes Draft and update employment-related agreements, templates, and documentation Support the companys commitment to a discrimination and harassment free workplace by assisting on employment compliance projects as needed and providing training to managers and employees Support merger and acquisition transactions and related integration of employees Here's What You Need:

from an ABA accredited law school Licensed to practice law and in good standing with at least one state bar, and willingness to apply for the Virginia Bar 5
years of experience in private practice or a corporate legal department, including experience with a highly-regarded firm or organization Ability to research and advise on complex legal questions Self-motivation with the ability to spot and analyze complex issues, get out ahead of problems, drive projects, and execute pragmatic and creative legal and business solutions on a timely basis Flexibility and willingness to approach legal challenges with an entrepreneurial mentality Outstanding written and verbal communication and analytical skills with demonstrated strategic thinking and risk analysis Ability to demonstrate judgment, personal integrity, discretion regarding confidential matters, and inter-personal skills with the ability to establish productive relationships externally and internally at all levels in the organization Ability to multitask and pivot quickly to evolving priorities Must be able to research legal questions and provide written and oral advice Preferred
Qualifications:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
