Department Summary :
Our client, a large non-profit working in support of government agencies, is seeking a University Events and Recruiting Specialist to join the Student Programs team.
The role requires Covid-19 vaccination and follows a hybrid schedule with 2 or 3 days a week on site at the Mclean headquarters.
This is a contract to hire opportunity and a fantastic way to join an amazing organization!The Student Programs team is responsible for the acquisition and development of emerging talent.
Our focus is on talent in high school, college, graduate programs as well as talent 0-5 years into their career.
The work of our team is fast paced and at the forefront of positioning the organization as an employer of choice.
We engage regularly with university and strategic partners across the country.
We also hire interns and create best-in-class programs for the students who joing the organization to gain experience and contribute to the growth strategy.
We work to grow talent in areas where there are capability gaps or where there are new capabilities emerging in our work programs.
This role will be critical to accomplishing this mission.
The Student Programs team is also responsible for the planning and coordination of events and activities that attract talent.
These events occur both at the headquarters and on location with our Academic partners.
This person in this position will help with all aspects of Student Program work with an emphasis on events and program management.
This includes sourcing, screening student talent, managing university relationships, design and delivery of events and activities, managing outreach to students and assisting with planning and executing programs and activities for students once they join our client's organization Job Responsibilities :
55% Plan and execute effective university events and engagements and assess return-on-investment, often working with internal tech staff.
25% Sourcing, screening and hiring of student talent5% Assist with onboarding, management and out-processing of students.
5% Provide tools, training and consultation that internal staff/depts/divisions can use to engage university talent in the effective way.
10% Plan and execute activities and events for interns and co-op students to enhance talent experience.
Required
Qualifications:

years leading the planning and management of events High level of proficiency in program and project management Experience consulting to stakeholders Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, Business or related or equivalent years of experience Exhibits results-orientation and attention to detail Strong team player and collaborator Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
